05. social links and auxiliaries
more fun mechanics!
As anyone in the know might know, the Persona series has a Social Link mechanic that helps to raise the power of your Persona and unlock new ones, as well as getting in-depth knowledge of other characters as you build relationships. Here, when you complete a one-on-one non-combat thread with a character of any Arcana, you gain access to an auxiliary, equippable Persona that you can visit the Velvet Room to take with you at any given time. Their images inscribed on cards, these minor Persona typically represent mythological beasts, creatures and ideas rather than higher deities and heroes. They each come with one or two abilities that can be called upon once per thread. As you level up and get access to more Social Links, you can get the ability to carry more of these cards with you! As with any Persona, they're always ready and willing to help.
